A. Color mixing challenge.
Get materials from the acrylic storage area. You need: a palette with lid, palette paper, palette knives, acrylic brushes, a brush basin with water (not pictured) and paper towel.
- Set up you group's palette by putting first putting palette paper down, then adding a small amount of warm and cool primary colors .

B. Plan a painting.
1. Pick a landscape, animal or object to paint. FIND A PHOTO REFERENCE (two or more if they are not photos you took).
2. Sketch your idea for composition. Add color with colored pencil or oil pastel.
3. Make a painting sketch on canvas paper. Experiment with creating the colors and textures you need. Research or ask for a demo if needed.
